The phenomena of anime(Japanese Type Animation) Bleach is so big that even google do not give you the the original bleach which has many uses. The anime bleach started as a manga(Japanese comic) in 2001 and is still ongoing, while the anime was started in 2004 ended in 2012.
The plot is about the adventures of hotheaded teenager after he gains the powers of the soul-reaper(Death-God or in japanese: Shini-gami) from another soul reaper Rukia.
Throughout the series and manga it was asked by many what is the relationship between a bleach and this anime. The manga was created by Tite Kubo. He wanted to draw a death reaper in kimono thats how the idea of bleach came. The title wasn't Bleach when he decided to draw a story about Shinigami. This was before he drew the one-shot manga that appeared in Akamaru Jump. The weapon wasn't a sword, but a scythe. Only Rukia had a scythe and the other characters used guns. At that point, the title was Snipe (as in "Sniper"). Right before he started drawing, he began to think that a sword would be better and realized he couldn't use Snipe as a title anymore. He began looking for a title that grasped the bigger picture. Shinigami are associated with the color black, but it would have been boring to use "black". "White", on the other hand, can suggest black as a complementary color. So Tite Kubo chose "Bleach" to evoke the impression of the color white.
Now you know "Why bleach is bleach?".
