Ever thought about gaming as a full time job?

At some-point in our life we have played video games, which is much more entertaining than the physical outdoor games. Now those who are in teenage and above might have started gaming from 8 bit consoles some of the famous games are Mario, Tetris, Dr. Mario, Contra etc. Since the first video game console was invented in the year 1966. Since that the video game is now roughly $90-$110 billion industry(Source: Gartner (October 2013)).

Apart from game production this industry created gaming as profession. So what exactly is this gaming profession? It is not described as a game tester because  he is not an professional gamer, but a tester to find out gaming bugs. A professional gamer is player who plays a completed game for a living giving him income and fame internationally. US has regarded professional gamers as Pro-athlete and the players that are recognised internationally can gain US P-1 VISA which is usually reserved for sports player. So holder of this visa can stay in US and earn while playing in the United States.

One of the richest Professional Players in the world is Carlos "Ocelote" Rodriguez(shown in the image) who makes roughly $950,000 yearly. He is regarded as the David Beckham of the e-sports because of his branding and good looks.

In an interview by Carlos to Daily Dot 2013 he told only merchandising income is half a million euros a year easy.

Simply amazing to those parents who tell their children "You can't make a living by playing games."
